I was reminded of Human Katherine’s “Clack and Prattle” as I was going through some of my photos late last night. She does such a great job putting words to photos and I sometimes wonder where she gets her inspiration and creativity. I decided to give her "Clack & Prattle" a try.
The other day I was back in Florala and took my “lunch break” at Lake Jackson. Instead of eating, I spent the time walking around….camera in hand…exploring the area. There were no people to distract me and I had the area to myself.

I love the boardwalk going through the “wetlands”. It is a pathway leading to an area filled with life, reminding me of the natural beauty found not only around us but inside too…if we only take the time to look.

On the other side of the lake the ducks were dancing before they waddled out to swim upon the still waters. One in particular was not camera shy and enjoyed having his photo taken. The ducks reminded me of how life can be enjoyed even while we go about our day to day tasks.

The floating feather caught my attention. Out from shore, slowly drifting away from its beginning….on a journey to the unknown. Again much like life, if we only take the chance.

A shell caught my eye and I realized how very much it too reminded me of life…a shell of its former self. And although it was different than the closed, filled version ~ it was still beautiful lying there on the sandy bottom.

The serene scenery filled me with comfort, as I took a steps out to reach the gazebo surrounded by water.

A slight wind stirred and the clouds gathered in the sky. It reminded me how fulfilling it is to have inner peace.
