Without even knowing the facts the narrow-minded extremists of our society are scrambling to prevent their children from hearing how if they work hard and educated themselves they can achieve the impossible. This is something they can’t afford, especially if that message is coming from someone such as the first black President of the United States. Where can this lead? Perhaps the thought of more President Obamas is too much to bear for some. They would rather keep their own children from hearing this message of success through hard work than take any sort of chance that their children might learn the truth that our President is not a boogeyman to be feared. That in the end might be the real reason behind all the current uproar over our President taking time to address our children.

All we can do now is point and laugh at the idiocy (and the idiots).
In the long run, let's say they truly manage to censor the President in a so called free country, who did they attempt to hurt?
A. their own children.
but those children will go to their friends house, and still see or hear it... just like all children who weren't allowed to watch or listen to certain content.
Those people who allow themselves to be so frightened by the screeching of the extremist harpies that they're willing to hold their hands over the ears of their children, vs. the people who aren't afraid to let their children analyze information.
The people who are so insecure about their parenting skills that they probably shouldn't have children in the first place vs. people who know that their children are, at some time, are going to have to make their own decisions.
They are savvy enough to know when someone is encouraging them, and when someone is shining them on.
Here in Massachusetts, those kids will be in the tiny minority and probably subject to ridicule from their friends. Parents did not factor that in. They have just put targets on their kids as being the kids of birthers, deathers, and crazies. At least here, those folks are the crazy ones.
