Ivan Radisic Is One Of The Nicest Guys In The...

Ivan just played our dedication on CKWR. He not only played a really nice song for us by Vice Vukov (one of our favourites), but he played two more by Ivo Robic, and read my e-mail on the air. He even let us know in English, what the songs were. :) He knows we love the music, but I don't understand much Croatian. Walker can pick some up because it's relatively close to Russian (like Spanish and Italian, same language family), but I really can't understand any of it. I'm beginning to pick up a few words though, from listening to enough of it.

Anyway, he played three wonderful songs for us, and said a lot of nice stuff over the airwaves. The piece of recording software that Walker installed screwed up the sound, so when our songs came on, I turned on my Handycam, and aimed it at the computer. LOL :) I get better sound on that than anything else, and this was something we really really wanted to save.

Did anyone else hear it, from the e-mail I sent earlier listing the station's URL? Ivan does a wonderful show every week, and I am more than happy to promote it all over the world.

You're going to have to finalize that disc so that we can put these up on Gather.

I'll just have to find more things to video, so I can fill the disk before i finalize it. I take this comment as you volunteering to be my camera victim. :) I got a lot of good ones at Sunset Villa too. :)

Well this is Sunday, so there's a decent excuse. It would be great if the programs were archived somehow, so we could listen to them again, and again, and again. I would love that.

Hmmm, I've been gone a lot of the day.....we also had church this morning then, as always, we go out to eat at our favorite truck stop and then did some shopping....I'm just on here for a few and then it's off to the laundromat for me.
sounds like the tribute and songs were just wonderful, Leah! So sorry I missed it, as well!

Thank you Sandi. Our day coudln't get any better if we found out we just inherited a billion dollars!!!! :) It's been one of the best days of our marriage.

Ckwr is a station out of Kitchener, but they broadcast on line at ckwr.com.

Thanks, Charlene. Ivan played a very nice birthday tribute to Vice Vukov, this past Sunday. Today would have been Vukov's 74th birthday. There's an article about him in my spotlight.
