Instead of trying to be all organized and write up posts in chronological order, I'm just going to post whatever comes to mind when I get the chance. I figure I might be able to actually get some stuff written instead of stressing myself about trying to do it "right." Then if I feel frisky later, I can do a summary post with links to all the trip posts like I've done before. We'll see.
Anyway...
I found myself in the Denver airport at 6:25 and my next flight was boarding at 6:35, although didn't actually leave until 7:10, so I had time to spare if things were running behind. What I didn't expect was for it to be so busy, though!

I arrived at an A gate, down in the lower left hand corner. It was something to the effect of, I arrived at gate A28 and was leaving again from A29, so right across the path from each other. It was ridiculous how many gates they had crammed in that corner. It wouldn't have been so bad, but at least three of the flights were all leaving at 7:10 and another at 6:55. I couldn't see the rest of the boards, but I'm sure there were more leaving around that time, too, because all the announcements and boarding calls were going off at once, so we couldn't really hear any of them very well.
I got there are on time, so slipped away to a nearby restroom in between. It was one of those large restrooms with two rooms....one room full of stalls along each side and the other full of sinks, dryers, and changing tables. The line was all the way out the door, but it was even more surprising because the door led into the side with the sinks, so it was actually even longer and led all the way into the other room. Craziness! Someone mentioned that it was Labor Day weekend coming up (this was on Thursday, though), so maybe some of the extra traffic was from that. Who knows?
