I'm not going to comment on the first part of this video, expect to say that I don't know where they found this dimwitted woman. "Hilary" the mom, who's claim to fame is the fact that she is a fan of Fox News. They gave 5 minutes of TV time to this woman to ramble. At one point she lost track of the question. Swear, she looked like a deer in headlights.
Anyway, let's talk about Santorium.
Listen to his logic. Just listen to it. Apparently there are two reasons parents (note, REPUBLICAN PSYCHO PARENTS UNABLE TO DIFFERENTIATE FANTASY FROM REALITY, not the majority of parents) don't want their kids to see the Obama speech.
First, apparently because their is a health care debate going on, the president should not talk to kids about staying in school and studying hard. Now what one has to do with the other, I can't figure out. This makes about as much sense as saying that since the teacher's union is arguing over a new contract, the school board won't have the bathrooms cleaned in the school. One has nothing to do with the other. But apparently because their is a CHANCE Obama MIGHT talk about health care (an opinion not based on any semblence of reality) then they are going to be mad about it.
Now why Obama would talk about HEALTH CARE to 5th graders makes no sense, considering health care has nothing to do with his topic of STAYING IN SCHOOL AND APPLYING YOURSELF.
Next, listen to his second reason. I about fell out of my chair.
"This president is a very gifted orator. Very motivational, inspirational figure...To many parents it's a little threatening to have someone come in who is so polished and so cool and come in front of their kids."
So let me understand. Because the president can actually construct complete sentences, dresses professionally, and knows how to motivate people, parents are threated that he might...what...MOTIVATE THEIR KIDS TO STUDY? GASP! THE HORROR! OMG! My son might actually see a smart, successful black man that isn't a rapper or football player and get the idea that school is cool!
Because Billy Bob the trailer park dad or Mindy the chronically subservient mom might be THREATENED by the president trying to encourage their children to study and make something of their lives, this is a valid excuse in the GOP's mind? SERIOUSLY!?
is THIS what it boils down to, that these parents are jealous of Obama and don't want their kids to be exposed to an articulate, successful, smart man?

Hatch says when he told fellow Republicans at their state convention two months ago that they should be proud of their party because “we don’t have the gays and lesbians with us,” he didn’t intend the comment to sound prejudicial. The Utah lawmaker was just pointing out that “gays and lesbians, by and large, are very intelligent, highly educated, high-earning people, who support mainly Democrats.”....yep nothing new here.
and lest we forget ketchup is a vegetable....thanks Ronnie!
Mind-boggling, indeed.
Not asking the tough questions like "Which insane asylum did you escape from?"
