Van Jones resigned today and President Obama said that he accepted his resignation.
Thanks but no thanks. Van Jones resigned amid controversy over remarks he made about Republicans, his associations from the past, and his name on a petition demanding an investigation of the government's involvement in the attacks on 9-11.
He has apologized but his controversy was hurtful to the Obama's administration current battles over health care.
Van Jones was the Green Czar or Secretary of environmental affairs in the old America.

Maybe there is hope!
However, I do agree there is hope still.
By the way Carol, I saw in the Oklahoman ( a good republican paper) that your favorite Senator Jim Inhofe is in the top of the list for taking trips on the public dime. Good conservative, NOT.

Steve, it is understandable for there to be a bad egg or two in an administration, but Obama has several bad eggs. And Van Jones isn't even the worst of the worse. When you look at Holdren, Sustein, Ezekial Emanuel, and others, as well as actually reading their writings, this is one scary bunch.
If Van Jones is one of the best it's no wonder . . . well, nevermind. There are just better people out there, there has to be. Else maybe we don't really need anyone to fill that particular job. Mmm? Now there's an idea.
This was just another example of Obama's shady associations. There are more questionable Czars that we are going to hearing a lot about now that Jones left with his tail between his legs....
You so funny donny/jeffy.
I will give you a free history lesson. Reagan won EVERY state in the country, except one, when he ran for a second term. The only state he lost happened to be the home state of his challenger, Walter Mondale. He lost that state by less than .2% (yes that is a decimal point before the two).
Wise up jack ass.
Now they'll just go back to hiding in the woodpile until one of them gets stupid enough to create another online Texas noose party.
I think he was forced to resign because he was a 9-11 truther and has been caught repeatedly doing Jeremiah Write impersonations.
Van Jones calling repubs that name was a minor issue at the end (maybe) of a long line of issues and was simply the one picked up in main stream media. If you are interested you could look here, here, and here for more info as well as (secondarily) more of my pov in regard to him.

Why are you so concerned about what he said about Republicans? i don't see you concerned with Republicans in office calling the President names! They have been all on TV doing so. Have you called for their resignation?

Dr. Candace, the name calling was the least of the issues. It was his ties to S.T.O.R.M his attachment to the Communist Party of the USA, and what really did him in, was his signature on the 9/11 truther document.
You repugs better start rationing your illogical hatred or you will run out before 2016.
Learn more about some other "fine" examples that Obama has appointed as his advisors.. JUDGE ME BY THE COMPANY I KEEP?
Obama, must like to be the topic in the media or he doesnt check out his helpers ( I like this word better than cabinet, czars, etc) very well..
But Van Jones words came back to bite him in the butt. I heard on the news that he is claiming he didnt read the 9-1-1 papers before signing them... If this is true, I am glad that he is gone,,, what good would he be to the president if he doesnt read what he signs..? His stepping down could be a blessing in disquise...
AND, why, should he be allowed to work in the WHite House and be a radical or a commie..... THis doesent make good sense...
"On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide."
What a filthy little liberal hypocrit to the end. That is the problem with liberals, they never have the balls to admit when they are wrong or have been caught at something.
Posting video's on youtube and other internet outlets of past statements and speeches is a smear campaign? Like I said, they are never able to admit wrongdoings.
I am glad this man stepped down. Given time, I believe the public will see that the only thing that has changed are the names in the White House. The politics remains a constant.
