Drum roll, please! On August 23, I made my official debut as the Richmond Frugal Family Examiner at examiner.com! I'm very excited because I combine two of my passions to help others in some very practical and conrete ways: frugality and writing!
The site examiner.com is nationwide, with hubs in many major cities across the U.S. The application/set up process was a little challenging to navigate, but they have outstanding customer service and I've already, after just 6 posts, met the "Richmond average" number of page views.
I make just under a penny per page load. Not a fortune - yet! This is another situation where it's all about networking. I immediately set out to introduce my self to other columnists around the contry and offered to link to some of their articles. (I've done so, too:-)
I won't get rich from this one source, but it's a great way to get "out there" on the web and to network and build some writing credits writing for a national web site.
If you would like to check it out, please be kind enough to use my referal link:
http://www.examiner.com/x-20427-Richmond-Frugal-Family-Examiner. My ID is 20427
This will earn me a nice referral check and get you started on the road to sharing what you love and know with others.
Win/win!
