If there is something I really like it is the word free, but I have learned that there are many degrees of free.
- Free with Free Shipping
- BOGO - Buy One Get One Free (Usually at the grocery store)
- BOGO at Payless - Buy One Get one Half Off
- Free excl. shipping cost
- Free with purchase (this week Publix had a BOGO sale on Ritz, and there was a coupon out for getting a free pack of Ritz Crackerfuls with the purchase of a box of Ritz).
- Free with small print (you better read the small print before you sign up, as this kind of free can be very costly)
- Free for taking a survey
- Free for participation (Gather, Club Bing, Mylot, Sheknows and many other sites)
- Free for doing a product test (I just washed my hair all for free in shampoo I'm testing)
- Free for spreading the word
- Free with CVS Bucks
- Free excluding tax

If there is something I like even better than free, it is the concept of free with free shipping. Some of the free things I have received lately includes a tank top from JC Penney, an ABC board book from Leapfrog and a photo book from Snapfish. To read more about how to get things for free, check out Frugality is Free.
Did I forget any versions of free?

That little * will get you everytime. Goes along with your 'fine print' reference.
Nice post.
BTW Sue, what happened to your chocolate commercials?
