Do You Digg It?

I can’t say that I am actually new to the site. After all, I joined more than a year ago. However, yesterday, I decided that it was time to actually really start using it.

The site I’m talking about is, of course, the social bookmarking site Digg. The site allows you to share with others the things that you “dig.”

Upside to the site, you can use it to promote some of your own stuff, that of friends and content from some of your favorite sites (it’s good to share the love).

Why, then, have I been inactive on the site since, essentially, the day that I joined? When I first joined it, I did it on a whim. I wasn’t promoting anything, and I hadn’t built up an online network of people whose stuff that I would be “digging.” So, I ended up letting things languish.

Now, however, I’m back! You can find me under the name ballykgirl (if you’re a fan of a certain British show, you’ll get the reference).

Are you on Digg?

I did the same thing you did, sign up then let it sit for a while. I suppose I should go take another look at it and see if I can become more active with the site.

I had almost forgotten about it, until I was reading a post that mentioned it. Then, I remembered that I was actually over there and started utilizing it.

I'm just really starting to. I don't think I used it at all when I first set up the account. I just opened an account, glanced around and promptly forgot it.

To Digg or not to Digg. Honestly, since it doesn't seem that Gather is actually paying for views I doubt that I will Digg.

I do wonder about Gather and the page views, though. It seems like only a few people are being well-compensated for their posts on here, and everyone else's points creep along.

Are Gather people just not Digg types and vice versa?

I was hoping to find some Gather people over there, but I really haven't had luck on that point.
