Sonya Matthews and her two-year-old daughter Paige were shopping at a local Walmart in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Paige wasn't in good mood so she cried.
Roger Stephens, 61, was shopping at the same Walmart store and he didn't like Paige's crying.
"If you don't shut that baby up I will shut her up for you," Stephens warned Matthews according to a police report.
Moments later, Stephens slapped Paige "across the face approximately four or five times."
"See, I told you I would shut her up," said Stephens, even though Paige now cried and screamed even more.
According to the Smoking Gun, Stephens was "arrested for cruelty to children and booked into the Gwinnett County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond."
See this idiot's mug shot here and read the police report here.
Roger Stephens should definitely feature among the 'creepy and crazy' people at PeopleofWalmart.com.

the balls on some mentally unbalanced idiots is honestly astonishing~
I mean I f***ing jump down people's throat as it is for directly disciplining my kids~ no they are not alllowed to~ that's my job~ if they have an issue with my kid they need to come to me so I CAN TAKE CARE OF IT if it really is an issue~ Purr does not play that kind o sh**~
I said, "Hey!"
She said, "Excuse me, but it's none of your business."
I said, "Let's call child protection and see whose business public child abuse is."
I don't let those things go by without saying something. There are those who say the child just gets it worse later. I don't know, but I can't think it does any good when everyone just looks away so nobody gets "uncomfortable".
I tell you if that had been my child he slaped the SOB would be pulling back a stub. The law would be dragging me off him.
His ass would be mine.
He is in trouble, and aren't we glad.
I don't approve of either person's action - the mother or the slapper.
