Time for Autumn Flowers Already (Photo Essay)

It's kind of ironic that when the Southeast gets hit with a cold front, the Autumn flowers seem to show up in the stores. We're not supposed to stay this cool for very much longer, but for those of you who are already feeling like Fall, here are some photos of the latest seasonal flower arrivals.

 

I had to stop in Big Orange yesterday for something and since my camera was in the car, I decided to photograph the various mums they had.

It was actually kind of chilly here today. I almost opted to break out my jeans.

While I think mums are beautiful, I really am not in a hurry for cold weather.

Hope you enjoyed looking at these pretty blooms.

Beautiful colors. I'm not ready for fall flowers either but temps in the upper 70's for a month or so would be fabulous.

Really pretty. I'm strangely ready for fall. Maybe that's because I've spent so much damn time tending gardens that I'm sick to death of watering, pruning, feeding and weeding and just want to sit on my rapidly spreading behind and watch IT grow for a change.

I love mums. You don't see many planted around here though. I always had a hard time choosing which colors to buy, they are all so pretty.

Fall ,football ,tailgaters delight ! Pumpkins , apples ,boiled peanuts ! Asters and mums ,blue jeans and sweaters ! I do love it so !

It feels like Fall in my part of PA! I've had the AC off for three days, it's great! Your mum photos are lovely!

I could have turned the AC off today, but it's not kicking on anyway. So that's kind of like it is off. We're supposed to warm back up for the weekend.

Wow! All of the flowers are beautiful! I'd love love love to have a dip in temperature, even if only for a few days. It's been in the mid 90s for months. I hate this time of year in Florida. Enjoy your cool temps!

Gorgeous flowers but I am not ready to deal with fall. This summer has been very cool in New England. I am not even sure the temps reached 90 at all this summer. I have a feeling winter is going to be brutal this year.

These are very beautiful. I'm ready for fall. I wish this cold spell would just stay. It's really nice whereas it's been so hot this summer. The beach is beautiful in the fall.
