Aliens in the Attic - Review

Yesterday, my husband and I went to see the movie Aliens in the Attic.  To be honest, I wasn't extremely looking forward to this one.  I would have rather gone to see Shorts, but my husband thought this one looked better.

First of all, it's rated PG.  There isn't a whole lot of sexuality (just a girl in a bikini in a couple of scenes).  There isn't too much language (although there is some name calling.)  There is some violence, but it's really not that bad or too explicit. 

The story line is this.  A family goes on vacation.  While at the vacation house, a group of aliens land on the roof.  They are looking for something in the basement, so that they can take over Earth.  The children in this family must stop the aliens so that they can't take over the world.

Here's the thing with this movie.  If you've seen the previews, you've seen most of the funny parts already.  The movie moves along okay, but I wouldn't rate it as anything too spectacular.  The whole thing is just so so.  It's worth seeing, but only after it comes out on DVD.  I wouldn't waste my money to see it in the theaters.
