Well I feel you have a very valid point. We over here have a different concept - and that happens to be, let me see, it falls sometime in November alongside Diwali (festival of light) as is called here. But the day I speak of is, unlike labour day, it is more of a day for the worship of weapons and instruments used for labour. It sure is a holiday except for a get together at the place of work for the customary worship of the God of Labourers.
