I've spent much of the last few weeks doing further edits on the book I wrote here on Gather, last year, and wanted to share with you, my relief... I finished, today!
I edited out 75 pages, and the manuscript reads much more "cleanly," with lots and lots of punctuation corrections, etc. I didn't actually change all that much, but ended it, feeling an enormous sense of accomplishment.
Now, it's on to the next step: Publication, one way or another.
Wish me luck?
And maybe one of these days, I'll be back on Gather on a more regular basis.
:-)

I also hear you on the Gather regular basis thing. I've been on hiatus on and off now for several months. I'm trying to find myself a better place to live, whether that be a house or another apartment rental, I don't know. I haven't touched my nonfiction writing effort on my Eyes of Glass story in forever but I've written several beginnings to fiction stories that I am trying to finish up for the primary reason of getting them out of my head, but I'd also like to put them together into a book format somehow and publish them, as you said, one way or another. My fiction creations have a way of overtaking me, I guess I love to daydream.
Well, best of luck to you in getting published! You can do it!
I look forward to reading it in book form!
