This was an author both of my parents enjoyed reading - crime and humor wove through many of his books. In the listing in the front of the book of his prior books, there are nine sections - one being Dortmunder series.
This book, Get Real, is the last of the Dortmunder series - the author is now deceased.
Set in NYC, the Dortmunder "gang" is hired to play criminals (which they are) in a reality series. Throughout many twists and turns we learn about the media business, the crime business and business-business (one company owned by another and so on).
It's light, cute, humorous... good summer reading (there's very little of anything that could be called violence).
It was one of the freebies from gather.
