You have to keep in mind that the Seminoles are the ONLY tribe in N. America that NEVER signed a peace treaty with the European invaders :)

Latest Seminole gambling deal could be a tough sell

With hours to spare before a legislatively imposed deadline, Gov. Charlie Crist and the Seminole Tribe quietly signed a gambling agreement Monday that will keep slot machines and blackjack at the tribe's South Florida casinos. In exchange, the tribe would pay the state $150 million a year.

Since the Powers claim Florida is near broke so parks fees just went up, tags and driver's licences went way up, all the county 'after school" care went sky high, it makes me wonder WHOSE pockets the 150 million will go in.

When I lived in Florida many years ago, I remember that they promised the people that passing the state lottery would mean that all of the money would go to education. It did...and the legislature deleted all funds from government for education so that it was supported ONLY from the lottery.

Exactly, walker. I think one has to get TOP grades from "Liars Club" to do politics here, alas.....:(
