Hi Mark: I was watching Fox news and as they lost the light and couldn't show the interment site any longer, they kept showing the eternal flame and this just came to me. I think it has to do with being there before and remembering how sad it was to have the two brothers buried there. Now it's all three of them. I happened to visit Arlington Cemetery at evening and it was one emotional experience.

Thanks Jean...I write when I'm inspired and sadness really inspires me. I'm also one of those people that put their selves in other people's shoes and sometimes that's too hard to deal with.

Thank you Lynn! It's so great when someone appreciates what I write, especially since I was always afraid to share my writings with anyone until I discovered Gather. I don't just write to be writing, I write when I'm inspired to. The best way I can describe it...words and thoughts run around in my head until I have to let them out so they will leave me alone. And writing is such a personal thing for me. I feel I always bear my soul.

Sandra, that's why most of what I write I don't post. It just shows too much. That's the problem with writing. Once you post it and people see it, you can't undo it. Then you have to live with it. This doesn't bother some people. But it does me. This haiku though was very shareable, I think. And in a way comforting to others, and can be. It was for me. It's sad they are both there now, but when thinking that they are together again makes it feel better. There is a sweetness in that.
