A protester at a Reston, VA town hall meeting is threatened with arrest because he was holding a sign with a picture critical of king Obama. The officer said, "If I told you once to take it down and you put it back up, I can charge you with whatever I want to charge you with." This is what I call abuse of power. Apparently the officer thought since king Obama is in power the Constitution no longer applies.
"This used to be America," argued the protester.
"It ain't no more, OK?" responded the officer.
Watch it for your self.

Your trying to say Obama is not American, your trying to say government acting for the public good is not American. Why didn't you people spout socialism when Bush was using insider trading to support his stock market? Why didn't the GOP spout socialism when their banks were taking billions of tax payer money to bailout the same GOP crooks that destroyed the economy, those things are not American not working for the public good.
Why doesn't the GOP followers say socialism when their party starts war for profit funded by tax payers money?
I' ve never said Obama is not American. I've never said government acting for the public good is not American.
You can bash Bush and the GOP all you want. Does not bother me. Most Republicans aren't really any better than the Democrats. Republicans just think they can run socilaism better than the Democrats.
This reminds me of a quote from Ted Kennedy I came across earlier this week:
"Senator, socialism hasn't worked in 6,000 years of recorded history," explained economist Milton Friedman. "Why won't you give up on it?"
Kennedy rose to his feet, according to Republican political consultant Marc Nuttle, who attended the hearing, and replied: "It hasn't worked in 6,000 years of recorded history because it didn't have me to run it."

This could have just as easily been said by John McCain or Mitch McConnell.
You HAVE run across sarcasm mixed with hyperbole before, right?
Are you attempting to do the same?
Now now now now.
You all said that the Harvard professor DESERVED TO BE ARRESTED AND JAILED, because argued with a policeman.
You can't have it both ways.
Yes, must we remind you of how NO one not registered as a Rebpublican was ever allowed anywhere near a Republican / Bush event.
Remember also how any speaking against your darling's Iraq war, caused you to go into the classice fit of rage. . .. free speech.
NOT A SINGLE REPUBLICAN IN THIS ENTIRE NATION HAS THE RIGHT TO SCREAM ABOUT :::::FREEDOM OF SPEECH, THEY HAVE SPENT THE LAST 30 YEARS STOMPING IT OUT.
TO A REPUBLICAN FREE SPEECH IS ANTI-AMERICAN, & SOCIALIST.
You may have said that Lee but I didn't.
The pics show disrespect and are a disgrace to real meaningful protest but it did not break any law other than the cops feelings. I do not think people should act in this way or use children in their protests like the GOP followers do.
As far as the cop goes anyone has the right to resist a unlawful arrest. This nonsense that you bow down to police because they want to inject their personal feelings into a situation is no different than a military takeover. If you notice the cop made a lot of threats but did not make any move to back them up and finally went out of the picture.
I liked how Joseph Farah describes the difference between two high profile men in confrontation with police: Bob Dylan v. Henry Louis Gates
"If you notice the cop made a lot of threats but did not make any move to back them up and finally went out of the picture."
I hope we have the same result with Obama's forced healthcare plan.
“If Congress [or king Obama] can do whatever in their discretion can be done by money, and will promote the General Welfare, the Government is no longer a limited one, possessing enumerated powers, but and indefinite one subject to particular exceptions.”-James Madison
“It would reduce the whole instrument to a single phrase, that of instituting a Congress with power to do whatever would be for the good of the United States; and, as they would be the sole judges of the good or evil, it would be also a power to do whatever evil they please.” –Thomas Jefferson
“The republican principle demands that the deliberates sense of the community should govern the conduct of those to whom they intrust the management of their affairs; but it does not require an unqualified complaisance to every sudden breeze of passion or to every transient impulse which the people may receive from the arts of men, who flatter their prejudices, to betray their interests.” –Alexander Hamilton
“Ours is one of the mildest, most benevolent governments in the world. But it too has the power to take your wealth and forfeit your life. ... A government that can give you everything can take everything away.”
-Robert Novak
Bash the Republiicans all you want. It does not bother me a bit.
It just shows you are unable to defend king Obama and his loyal subjects.
Thanks for the reminder of this great full-of-truth comment:

Another example of "It just shows you are unable to defend king Obama and his loyal subjects. "
What exactly was on that poster? Was the poster behaving like professor gates? If you're going to criticize the administration for what the cop did, at least offer some more data.
If your going to comment on this post at least take a look at the video and photo that I posted. You'll notice the photo is the same as the poster(which you can get a glimps of in the video) the protestor was holding.
There is plenty to criticize king Obama for already so I don't really need to blame him for the stupiditiy of this officer. Well then again...maybe because Obama has no respect for the Constitution the officer may believe he doesn't have to abide by it either.
"The White House announced the program only a day earlier, pleading with people around the nation to forward to the White House e-mail address anything they might see "about health insurance reform that seems fishy."
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=106119
This officer didn't want to waste time snitching to the king. He was taking matters into his own hands. If Obama can fire the CEO of GM with out any constitutional authority then why can't this officer restrict freedom of speech of a protestor because he doesn't like the picture on his postor?
Who knows maybe drug addict Limbaugh can solve everything if he remains your leader long enough.
When Obama fires the CEO of GM and decides what companies and industries will get taxpayer "bailout" money and which ones won't he acts more like a king than a president. When a President starts a snitch program through the White House website in an attempt to snuff out opposition for his taxpayer funded "healthcare" plan he becomes more like a king. When the leader of a nation is not limited to the powers granted by the country's Constitution he is more like a king than a president.
Ok, now I suppose we will get more Bush and Republican bashing.
"Obama is not doing anything the Bush and Republicans have not already done." Whatever. If this is the best defense Obama disciples can come up with he does not have much chance of re-election.
"If Obama can fire the CEO of GM with out any constitutional authority..."
So, the officer was afraid of loosing his job if he doesn't quite the protester? Really? I didn't get that from the video. You're assumptions of other people's motivations are pretty sweeping. It could be that the cop just likes to exercise his power.
Come on...how often are you going to use the term "king Obama". It's really quite ridiculous.
Neither did I. I haven't got a clue what you are talking about.
And actually I think "king" Obama is quite fitting.
This guy wants to post a political ad on school grounds.
Now the world will come to an end because this IDIOT thinks the law should bend to his whim. What an f'ing IDIOT!!!!!!
How many psychos will buy more ammo as this propaganda video pushes them closer to the edge?????
What law are you refering to?
The protestor mentions there were other protestors there Rude and specifically asked why the officer was prohibiting his postor and not others.
The officer responds by saying it's because this protestor has a picture on it.
Is there a law against postors with pictures on them on school grounds?
YES!!!!!!!!
Nonschool related, political, and/or commercial literature, or campaign posters supporting one or more candidates, issues or a particular point of view shall not be displayed within the schools or on school owned or occupied property, unless done as part of an approved teaching unit
BTW, this was not a school function.
The officer was not threatening arrest for protesting against Obama's healthcare plan on school grounds but for having a picture critical of Obama on his postor. The place of protest was not an issue according to the officer.
I would go along with this Rude except for the fact that school property is not government property. Schools belong to the community of every state and does not come under federal property.
I don't believe these kind of signs should be used but I don't believe the police should be inserting their personal beliefs into any protest. Its apparent that the officer was interjection his personal belief and support for a political party and was very wrong in stating that " this is no longer America."
Try putting up a poster for or against ANY candidate on school grounds.
Even a person in uniform, soldier, policeman or even a letter carrier CANNOT lobby for or against ANY government official. They MUST take off said uniform and lobby on NON government property.
I wish this person were to be arrested so a judge could hammer in the law with an overnight stay in jail!!!
Stupid idiots will now be told it's ok to shoot a n***** who is violating your rights. Idiots!
http://www.neola.com/ridgedale-oh/search/ag/ag3231A.htm
I don't know of any school that would permit what this IDIOT was trying to do. Like I said, now some freaking psycho gun nut will actually think it's NOT America anymore and take matters into his own hands.
That is what LEE C wants, Death and chaos rather than a black president.
You can't be critical of Obama without someone playing the race card. The man is black. Who cares? Get over it. And stop using Obama's skin color to turn him into a victim. This makes you appear to be a racist.
I would suggest you not claim to know what "LEE C wants." You know very little about me. Talk like this is not profitable for anyone.
It's getting sad .... the POTUS is not a victim ... or shouldn't be portrayed as one; not for that reason anyway. But his supporters continue to paint him as one.
You can't be critical of Obama without someone playing the race card. The man is black. Who cares? Get over it.
Seems we have gotten over it; easily, since in my mind there was nothing to get over ... but Obama's supporters are either still reveling in it or are of the mindset he still needs to be defended because of it. But why? As far as I can tell his color is the trait the least in need of defense.
king Obama is in power the Constitution no longer applies.
Idiot hasn't a clue what's the diff between a coronation and an election.

Public demands firing, school officials decline to confirm he's 'on staff and on duty'
Wow, Roy!
You compare law abiding, Constitution-loving Americans with the Taliban and have the nerve to claim they are the ones full of resentment, rage, fear, and ignorance!
Was your statement designed in any way to help others to understand your viewpoint and engage people in debate on healthcare or free speech?
It appears to me to be a very divisive statement.
And I suppose you consider all those who oppose Obama's healthcare plan to be domestic terrorists.

Are you trying to play some type of game by attempting to "bait" me?
What did you really expect me to say?
Is that what the healthcare issue and freedom of speech is to you? A game?
Was your statement designed in any way to help others to understand your viewpoint and engage people in debate on healthcare or free speech?
You maybe vexed, but it appears to be you own doing.
Apparantly you are not familiar with the Batman character "Joker".
Quite fitting caricature for king Obama I'd say.

Of COURSE you would. I would too, if I were like you.
