Lint Is Taking Over My Laundry.

I am pretty sure its impossible to avoid lint on most materials, some things like nylon and such don't make lint as far as I know...

as I understand it, lint is mostly a product of wear on the fabric fibers, that cannot be avoided.

That makes sense. I just hate the way it makes freshly washed clothes look dirty.

I find that if I wash my towels separate it helps. When Hubby does laundry he tosses it all in at once. When they are hung out to dry they have a lot of lint on them.

I will have to make sure that I don't put towels with other things in the wash. Thanks for reminding me about that.

Have you tried laundry bags? They help a little. The lint doesn't get thru the nylon holes as easily.

When I was a Unix programmer many years ago, there was a utility called...Lint.
It searched through a program looking for unused variables or executable code...the software equivalent of lint.
I don't think this is the kind of lint you are talking about.

Make sure the lint trap is cleaned well in the dryer...and the dryer should remove a good bit of it. Keeping towels and fleece separate helps too.

I try to keep the lint trap clean, but sometimes I do forget and it seems to fill up so quickly.

No other place tol say Happy Anniversary. I hang my good clothes up on thick hangers and let them air dry so they do not get lint on them. I may wash them with colored sheets, but do not dry them.
