It's a freaking deluge outside!!! It was overcast this morning for one class but my other two are this after noon. I can hope that it stops in the next hour and a few minutes, otherwise I'm gonna get drenched! History class is going to be fun as we were told the roof leaks .. weee haw!
So come to find out, though we are required to do the home work, our math professor doesn't actually take it up. He instead gives us short quiz that includes modified problems from the home work. Todays quiz consited of about six or seven questions, we had ten minutes and I was done in three. Yeah, it was that simple. But it is the first week. He also gave me the quiz, to go over at my leasure, that he gave the students Monday (before I decide to change classes).
Though this initial stuff is fairly easy, I'm really not sure if I could have handled "College Algebra" just yet, most of the stuff I have learned 30+ years ago is filed in my head and I know I haven't forgotten it, but I do need to be reminded of the operations. Though I knew this to be true, most of us use algebra on an almost daily basis whether we realize it or not.
Some wanted pictures of my new homework help .. well here they are
The HP Closed:

and the inside:

I really like the keyboard. And at the moment I'm trying to get use to the touch pad as I will be using it more often than a mouse. I will, at some point, get a mouse for it.
It has a 16" screen which is farily good sized for a Notebook; the netbook I was looking at had an 11" screen (which I thought was fairly impressive for something that small. I have 3GB of memory and can actually add another GB if needed. It has a 320GB hard drive (my desk top has 600GB) Not bad if you ask me.
Well now it's time for lunch and then off to school... I just hope I won't be swimming!!

I can't say that I ever filed Algebra away in my head:)
I taught an English class this morning and I have another class this afternoon.
Cool laptop. Does your instructor let you take it to class?
I am not a huge fan of HPs. Hope you have good luck with it.
How long had you been away from classes?
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Nice laptop, by the way.
