I love Hollyhocks. This summer at I caught a bunch at sun-up (afTer a rain) while visiting my brother. There are not enough days to post all the photos I like so here are the four of the hollyhocks that morning in July. ENJOY!

I have always loved hollyhocks ... my first recollection of them is growing in my grandma's alley. They were so tall and beautiful and my grandma could make cunning little flower dolls out of them ... I was totally enchanted! Your photos are a wonderful reminder of that happy memory!

Beautiful hollyhocks. I planted one in my flowerbed in remembrance of my mother-in-law. One of her favorite flowers.

I loved that photo too because of the water drop but I never noticed the sun glint - thanks for opening my eyes. I'm going to crop it and post it again.

Lovely! I love the hollyhocks. I am wondering how tall the plants got. Hollyhocks can reach for the sky.

Lovely pictures. For some reason, hollyhocks seem like an "old fashioned flower" to me. Not sure why that is.

Hollyhocks are one of my favorite, I especially love the ones that grow very tall.

Stunning...beautiful....funny that you took so many photos.. I do that too when the subject matter is something that I like or catches my fancy
