Starting last November it seemed my family and I went through one disaster after another.
My Mother is/was an invalid and one of four brothers and sisters,. She is/was stroked, Diabetic, Aphasic , paralyzed on her left side and wheel chair bound. I've been taking care of her with help for years and counting my blessings that she was making it day to day. Her eldest brother is severely incapacitated due to Parkinsons's and in a nursinsg home. He used to be model perfect, brilliant and extremely successsful. He is now also in a wheelchair, in diapers, unable to communicate or feed himself .
There is/was another brother and another sister both in fairly good health.
In November the healthy sister was broad sided and killed in an MVA. I was her executrix. A month later my Mom passed away. Shortly after that my sister had seizures then the second brother, the healthy one committed suicide.
I was excutrix for all the estates and as to my sister, I moved her in with me until I could find her a place to live once she ws reasonably stable. We found a place across the street from us. Small blessings. I hired the woman who was my Mom's caretaker to care for my sister until she was back on her feet.
During this time I was dealing with an unbalanced woman who had attempted to steal my dog then sued us claiming civil battery saying she was injured while stealing the dog. That was extremely emotionally grueling and very expensive. We of course, won the case but she is indigent and we live in what's called a pauper's state so you can't collect from someone who has nothing much. This woman tho, is collecting disability from an MVA she caused while driving drunk and on drugs.
Either way, I've come through it all. What doesn'st kill you makes you stronger.
It's amazing how so much can happen at once and yet you keep going.
