Okay so as promised, how to get more hits to your website.

Another way is to build a blogroll.

Yes, you will have to go out and visit other people's blogs and comment on theirs and develop relationships for this to work, but hey, if you are a writer as I am, chatting with people is a no-brainer. The benefit is, when you post a comment, your site address or email is listed making following you easy breezy.

Before long, they will be visiting your blog to see what all you have to talk about and that is how you get followers and friends, and they have followers and friends who go through their blogroll and so on.

And don't forget to blogroll agent's sites, publisher's sites, writer's forums, and social networking sites. Traffic is always a two-way street don't forget. When you join high-traffic sites, and use YOUR SITE LINK when you sign up there, pretty soon it's like the busy avenue in your hometown.

And finally, another way to get people interested in your site is to pen articles and *posts like this one* to generate interest. As a writer, I try to keep people coming back again and again. I have a regular Tuesday post on Kindness, and always try to keep things light and fun. People who surf are looking for quick, fun reads.
