Hello again, my friends, hello...I just called to let you know... :) (Mr. Diamond is never too far from my consciousness, I guess...but apologies for such a flippant beginning to an otherwise "weighty" post! :)) )
For this episode, I go back once again to my beautiful Mom - and a trait I inherited from her. It's best explained in this wonderful Sufi philosophy (and I'm living this truth by the very act of sharing this)...
========================================
When you feel you're trapped in a vicious circle, draw a
bigger one around it.
------ (ancient Sufi saying)
========================================
Much love to you all.
Aman.

Thanks for coming by and helping to make that outer orb a little bigger!
(((((((((((((((Nan)))))))))))))))))
Thanks for joining the circle dance, my wise, talented friend.
(((((((((((((Kathsie)))))))))))))))))))))))
Thanks for the honour - it's gratifying, as always!

Thanks for drinking from these humble streams, and caring to comment, too!
Hugs.
And spontaneously, too ... Wow! My pleasure at your comment was amplified by your word-play.
Thanks for stopping by and letting your heart and soul imbibe these philosophical waters....
Till the last moment that I post something, I continue to feel that it has no intrinsic merit or value - so thanks so much for boosting my confidence, my friend! Hugs.
Some of course make a home in your heart and mind with what they leave behind for you, don't they!
Sorry for such an awfully delayed response, Ali, but I'm a man who just never bothers to look at his Gather feed in the mail - there's just too much of it, and just seeing the numbers brings on the fever! hehehe
Of course, I could change my friend settings to omit most inputs from most friends - but that doesn't sit well with my soul. I hate to discriminate between people for any reason.
Sometimes, so much time elapses between my posting something and reading the comments to it - and by then, all interest in my reply must surely be dead . But I do care, and I love to reply! Hope your interest in this thread is still breathing, kicking... :)
Thanks for this continuing dialogue! ((((((((((((((Ali))))))))))))))))))))))))
Thanks for passing by these pages, and for letting the resonance grow ....
Hugs.
From the depths of my heart, thank you for all your feeling, sensitive and appreciative comments - this is the first post in my Spotlights section, so I'm responding to this first. But I'll get to all your comments and reply to each one of them individually, okay?
Moms truly are a limitless fount of wisdom - the most natural teachers in this world, and probably the most under-appreciated, aren't they?! I love mine - she is an incredible woman, both immensely talented and incredibly wise, part of this material world in the best way possible and yet managing to remain her spiritual self.
From her I have received many, many gifts - all my talents are hers and *from* her- but the one I cherish most is the ability to feel the soul of things. It helps me reach out to people in a way that my friends say they haven't seen anyone else do - and I love that, because I have a tremendous love overflowing from my heart for all humanity and all creation.
All the treasures of the heart - the eternal treasures - that I possess are my Mom's gift. My abilities of the mind are from both, but it's my Mom who bestowed me this heart, I feel.
One of her most incredible talents is her ability to rise above the pettiness, the sheer small-mindedness of people around her, and all the trauma they inflict on her almost daily, and continue to remain her noble, joyous self. She's truly a beautiful light.
It is one of the many gifts she has bestowed on me - to always remain attuned to that eternal joy, the seed of which lies within us all. In that sense, she is a natural Sufi - and made me one long before I ever knew what faith or religion meant.
Sorry for such a long-winded reply to your comment - but your words, simple though they might have been, were powerful and wise enough to release this torrent! :)
Thanks again, my loving, wise, beautiful friend. You truly live up to your name - the emotions are a rich dance inside you, I sense that so strongly! And please keep singing - your voice has a sweetness and richness that is not of this world - you have that rare ability to lift hearts and souls!
(((((((((((((Bhawna)))))))))))))))))
It sure is - a very uplifting and calming philosophy that has helped me remain sane and rooted to my natural self in times of trauma and unnatural stress.
Thanks for that comment-closer thumbs-up - and the feeling is mutual , mon ami, for I know you are a very kind, wise soul. Just one poem - the words, the love, the humanity behind the act - was enough to tell me all I ever needed to know!
Now guess which poem and I'll land up at your doorsteps with a hundred-flowers bouquet come Christmas! heheheh
((((((((((((((((((((Diamond Di)))))))))))))))))))
For the poem, a hint, and only one - else it'll be all ends open :) It's something to do with Moms...now even that's too close! Sheesh! I'm no good at games, you see... Hugs to you on Fabulous Friday ...
Every time I would read your name, something about it had this sense - "She's made for writing poetry" , and I would be left with this mystical feeling as to where that sense came from. Now I know why, Miss Diana (who) Doles-Out-Poetry... (as benediction, maybe?!!) hehehehe
Like it? Even if you don't, that flower-bouquet is still on!!! Where word goes, I'm always engaged in front-gears.... heheheheh
I feel honored that someone as artistically creative as you had a similar thought.
I know a bit about you from your poetry and comments, S, so I can imagine how you must be natural at this practice...and it is , indeed, a very liberating thing in the truest sense.
It releases all the most wonderful natural energies inside you once you give up trying to fight, to claw, to manipulate or otherwise to go against those situations, and instead, smoothly find another , bigger and nobler one to embrace!
Thanks for this surprising peek at one of my simplest, shortest posts! :) Hugs.
am attracted to the action of creating them - thank for this beautiful saying - your mother was very wise. Blessings. Salud
