This is a response to an article/posting praising Glenn Beck all the while ignoring his inability or refusal to face the truth when it comes to his own shortcomings and narrow view of the world. The writer, as is her right, limited any discussion or postings to her article to her friends. This decision to block anyone who might contradict her standing and views on Beck only cement my thoughts that his fans are for the majority if not all equally small and narrow minded as he is.
I have always felt that Glenn Beck, like his GOP pundit buddies, Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh, is nothing but an opportunist who fans the flame of intolerance for his own gain and the latest incident in which in one breath he labels President Obama a racist and in the next he back peddles and says he doesn’t think the President hates white people. This double speak reveals him to be exactly what he preaches that Democrats, which includes President Obama are all about.
So once again the intolerant rant and rave about Free Speech all the while limiting the discussion only to those that are like minded. It is typical behavior by those that are the real threat against freedom.

Such terrible things should not be allowed on Gather without opportunity for opposing views. I noticed she does this quite a lot when she pushes garbage that can easily be debunked.
Would Obama have the same thoughts about Native Americans? Would he have the same thoughts about the treatment of early settlers here who were indentured slaves? If so, I've never heard him speak of either situation."
Obama spoke of Native Americans' treatment and a possible national apology in Chicago, July '08. And any fool knows an indentured servant (NOT slave) is under contract for a certain time and had actual rights, unlike Black slaves, therefore not even slightly the same thing. In it, Beck acknowledges that Obama does not agree that reparations should be made to African-Americans. Then he goes and acts like Obama said just the opposite, even stating that the national healthcare is back-door reparations. The man is total sleaze. He could find nothing wrong in what Obama says, so he spins it with untruths and incendiary propaganda so that the average idiot thinks he must now stop Obama from implementing reparations. And those "I wanna join a white supremacist group but its not PC so Beck will do" jackasses are lapping it up. How can normally intelligent people be so damned dumb?!
President Obama is one very hot topic here. You'll find the far left, the far right, the fence-sitters, and the nuts from all three. We do like to have our fun here.

I especially like to research the long time Gather members posts to see how they have survived here over many years.....there are some truly teachable moments there! That being said............it does at times behoove one to speak up over things that are really over the top in their plausibility!
