The Glenn Beck that I know and love shared this a while back:
America, I want to talk straight to you now.
There is a lot of bad news out there. Our economy is tanking and does not show signs of improving. People are losing their jobs 500 million a month according to Nancy Pelosi and there are more cuts on the way.
People around the world are taking to the streets. Our government responds to problem with "bailouts." When you reach out to them you get no response while Ponzi scheme crooks get away with millions and tax cheats get promotions.
Terrorists are on the run, and you just want to keep your family safe.
It is enough to make you want to just give up!
But I am here to tell you something important: You are not alone, and if you believe in a majority of these nine principles then keep watching because I am going to prove it to you to.
1. America is good place, not perfect, but good.
2. I believe in God and He is the center of my life.
3. I must try to be a better, more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness and not a guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have. I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree or share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them. They answer to me.
Please, if you agree with these principles then help me fight for them.
That doesn't sound crazy, does it?
Yes, Glenn Beck did call the President a racist. I don't find anything wrong with that. I think Beck was right. The President is both a racist and an elitist. No one who wasn't a racist himself could have listened to a racist preacher for 20 years without walking out in disgust. Only someone who embraced those same thoughts and ideals could have sat and listened to the preaching and could have contributed to the church coffers.
The President's reaction, without knowing the facts, about his friend's arrest proved his racism, in my opinion.
Beck's show gave even more examples. He quoted the President a few years ago when he said he was against reparations...because reparations could never go far enough or do enough for African-Americans.
Would Obama have the same thoughts about Native Americans? Would he have the same thoughts about the treatment of early settlers here who were indentured slaves? If so, I've never heard him speak of either situation.
People think that Glenn Beck's show has suffered because he called the President a racist. But that is far from the truth.
Here's part of what NewsMax has to say about this:
Even before the liberal boycott of Glenn Beck began this summer, the best-selling author and TV host had became a ratings superstar, with his 5 p.m. cable news program pulling mega prime-time viewership numbers. Beck also had become a lightning rod for liberal groups who didn’t like his anti-Obama message and his staggeringly large audience.
But now Beck’s fame seems to be growing even more as a spontaneous, nationwide effort has sprung up among fans to defend their hero, including Web sites, Facebook groups, homegrown e-mail blasts, and individual telephone campaigns.
The reaction in support of Beck comes in the wake of the advertiser-boycott campaign launched by Color of Change, an African-American advocacy organization with close ties to the Obama White House.
Although the group garnered some success initially, it appears that it is making claims that don’t match reality, with several major companies claiming they never joined any boycott of Beck’s show.
For the rest of that story: Backlash Against Glenn Beck Boycott
Glenn Beck is not a bad guy. He speaks for many Americans. And he uncovers many things that other news media and news commentators never do.

I'd love for an African American independant or republican like Michael Steele for President. Even against a caucasian democ rat. Then we could see how many conservatives really are racist. Yes there are a few who are, but for the most part, they aren't.
We've had African-Americans in high positions in government for years in the Republican party...and yet Dems still think we're the racists. Ha!
Absolutely - and most definitely is not even close to being a Third World country, economy, or healthcare system.
2. I believe in God and He is the center of my life.
Absolutely.
3. I must try to be a better, more honest person than I was yesterday.
Gee, that'll be a tough one but .... I will try. lol Seriously - I agree.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority.
Agreed
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
Agreed.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness and not a guarantee of equal results.
That's almost treason these days ... but I do agree.
Quote: "The Obamas spent twenty years of Sundays faithfully attending a church of black bigotry against whites with slanders by the Reverend Wright like white people inventing AIDS to destroy blacks. Of course they're racists."
Wright was not just their spiritual leader who married them and christened their children but a mentor considered "like a father" until he needed to be pitched under the campaign bus along with the disposable white grandma who raised Barrack.
Well, It's pretty obvious who's actually choosing to not see........... And further, who exactly is attempting to silence truth......
It might be of some education to those who would see, that the organization created by Jones is leading the Administrations attack on Glen Beck.......It's called, Colors of Change...
The media watchdog NewsBusters.org exposed Van Jones as co-founder of Colors of Change. The group's executive director is James Rucker, who previously served as director of Grassroots Mobilization for the radical MoveOn.org. Of course Jones affiliation with Colors of Change was covered up right away. Imagine that.......
Beck uses a method that the Democrats believe is totally reprehensible, he repeats the words (in context) that Jones has used.
Van Jones is officially president Obama's special adviser for enterprise and innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality (the green jobs Czar). Jones was a founder and leader of Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement. The group, now disbanded, had Marxist, Leninist and Maoist influences. Jones says he became a communist and radical after the officers accused of using excessive force on Rodney King were acquitted. He's supposedly a reformed anti-capitalist, but not everyone is convinced. Jones long-time association with the most radical of causes has been pointed out by Fox commentator Glenn Beck many times.
I repeat, "those who will not see."
Government can force us to be charitable (outofcontrol entitlements and inappropriate taxes); but then, that's all they get. If the guvmint continues to hold the belief that it is Its duty and perogative to force me to be charitable, if they continue to force inappropriate REdistribution of wealth; all they will get from me is what they can force from me. Sooo .... agree on the principle of course.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree or share my personal opinion.
Agree.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them. They answer to me.
Agree.
I'm there.
That doesn't sound crazy, does it?
No

Agreed. Per our conversation here in which we spoke of how a person is known by his friends, guilt by association etc.
ie: ... Judging guilt by association is sometimes an iffy venture and often leads us to the wrong conclusions. Appearances are sometimes deceiving. . .
But In this case I do not think they were. In Obama's case .... time has shown that what was previously simply an appearance due to transient associations, has now become somethinng more than faulty, transient or self righteously judgemental.
It's definitely a problem.
. . . Unless one has no problem with Maoists, Marxists, bombers, murderers . . . and yes, racism.
Glenn Beck is just what this country needs. Someone who isn't afraid to tell the truth, voices his own opinions and speaks to people, not down to people.
I would like to exercise my #8 and go ahead and disagree with this one. We have a lot of Glenn Becks on both sides.

~ wish it were that way. sorry to say it is not now ~
It's even worst. He's liberal!
Or do you feel that America doesn't owe either group anything - and it would be wrong to favor both groups, just as it would be wrong to favor either group?
