MY BABY SISTER WAS IN AN ACCIDENT!

My mom called me last night to inform me that my baby sister, Linda, was involved in a car accident!

 

The man who hit her was having a seizure and instead of hitting the brake, he hit the gas! He hit some other vehicles, but thank the Lord, they were parked, so no one was in them.

 

Linda and her son, Paul, were a little banged up. Linda has a huge bump on her head and Paul got his wired jaw knocked loose! I thank the Lord they weren't hurt more seriously!!

 

They're going to go see their doctor, today. I called her, last night and talked to her for a while. She finds it hard to rest because when she does, the pain gets worse. She should be calling me today to let me know what the doctor said.

 

The man that hit her didn't go to the hospital because he shouldn't have even been driving with this type of medical issue.

 

I'll post an update as soon as I know anything about their condition. Thanks for your prayers in advance!

Oh God. Do you know that this type of thing happen everyday, how can someone with a seizure drive? We still have them on the roads, you know and this is just one of the several cases.

Did they call the cops? I mean they have to take him off the roads for good before he fatally hurts or kills someone else.

Yes, they called the police and the police told his friend he shouldn't be driving. Not sure if they ticketed him. Yes, I agree!! Linda said the same thing.

I have a seziure disorder myself. I have not been on meds in 3 years. While I don't like what happen with the other driver, I know in my case here in the state of MI I could not drive until I was 6 months seizure free. What really sucked I would be right there and then have to start all over again. I hope your sister is okay. I really hope the person who hit her learned his lesson and does not drive anytime soon

Keep us posted on your sis and her family. It could have been so much worse.

As far as the man with the seizures, I hope he gets his license taken away. Anyone with any type of seizures should not be behind the wheel of a car. Far too dangerous.

Thanks, Diane. She's feeling better and she won't have to go to court because he was at fault. His insurance is paying for my sister's medical bills and they took away his license.

Glad to hear that they took away his license. People with medical issues should not be driving-as well as the elderly. My mother fought giving up driving for years. My brother begged the police to take her license-they wouldn't. Finally he took her keys, after the police called and asked that someone come and get her. She was driving very slowly along the highway, and people behind her called in concerned about her. In her slowed-down world, she thought she was driving fine. One time I was behind an elderly man in a car in a supermarket parking lot. He stopped and backed up, bumping my bumper. He didn't get out of his car to see what he hit, and he didn't even turn around and look. I went up to his car window and told him he had hit me. He just said blankly, "I thought I hit something, but I didn't know what it was". This man should not have been driving!

I am so sorry to hear about this Janie. I am glad they weren't injured worse than what they were. I don't really believe the man should have even been behind the wheel to begin with. What are people in this country thinking.
