Yes, you read the title correctly. Florida has a great State Park which features its "Tallest Waterfall". Since we had never been there, we decided to take Jackson and the twins to this park. Not only did we (the adults) enjoy it, but so did the children.

Falling Waters State Park is located in Chipley, Florida. What I liked most about it is we were able to leave the hustle and bustle of our day to day lives and escape to a natural place. A place of serenity. A place of beauty. A place of life without the intrusion of all the "material" items.

The waterfall is 73 feet tall. Although there has been a lot of rain lately, the falling water wasn't "gushing" like you think when you hear "waterfall". However it was still beautiful and the sound of the water falling created a luring song.

There are trails to explore and sinkholes can be spotted from the boardwalks. As you walk through the area, you wonder how many people and other living creatures have traveled before you.

(see the natural archway)

I could go on and on, but I'll just let you see the rest of the photos.....

(have you ever seen yellow mushrooms?)

This park does have very clean restrooms, a campground, and a playground (which entertained Jackson and the twins for a LONG time). If you get the chance to visit this State Park, I highly recommend it. Leave your troubles behind....

Thank you for posting your photo at Pretty Pictures.
Be sure to keep an eye out for Kid Rock. He and Hank, Jr. tend to visit the Island a lot :)
Thanks so much for sharing with my group.
Beautiful!
