Proverbs 22

¹⁷ Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise;
apply your heart to what I teach,

¹⁸ for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart
and have all of them ready on your lips.

We all could learn a lot if we were to pay attention to the wise and then listen and learn what they are trying to teach us. If we were to apply what God was teaching us then that is what would be in our heart and therefore would be what leaves our mouths. These words would be very pleasant and loving, right?

Right! I have repeatedly said I wish I had listened more and sit down and learned more from my parents. They had so much wisdom. Then I could apply it to my life and then be able to teach my children and grandchildren.

Well, the same things go for God. If we were to apply and learn from all God is showing us through the Word of God and were to apply this to our lives. We would be wiser and our hearts would be full of love and therefore love would be spoken from our lips.
