My DH isn't as much into photography as I am, he prefers to take video as many of you know. He's so much better at video than I am, everyone loves his narrations. Once in a while he takes a photo and he even had his own camera that was my old one before I bought a new Canon last year. Problem was, he kept it in the car. He'd come home and tell about something exciting he saw, I'd ask "Did you take a picture" and he'd reply "No, the camera was in the car.". As the weather got warmer back in April I started reminding him that he had to bring the camera in because it would be getting hot soon and that's not good for a camera. Well, to make a long story short, he never brought it in. One day he went to use it and, yep you guessed it, black screen, no photos. He was upset and scolded himself. He's taking a trip back home to visit his family, so I decided to take some of my Amazon bucks and get him a new camera, one that will not stay in the car I hope. He brought it along on one of our recent trips to Huntington Beach State Park to test it out and get the feel for it. I thought I'd share the State Park photos he took and give you a different perspective of the areas we visit. (Don't panic Marianne R., I didn't post any of the photos he took of us!) It was nice to scroll through his photos and see the park through his eyes.
These are posted in the order of our trip.
Looking out over the fresh water side of the causeway to the left, salt water marsh and oyster beds to your right.

We start on the fresh water side.

Then cross over to the salt water side and oyster beds.

This next photo is the alligator that had the crab for breakfast. As I've mentioned before, the alligators are usually in the fresh water side and it is very unusual to see them over here. It's low tide this day so there is more activity here in the salt water marsh.

The alligator trail (as we like to call it).

Atalaya in the background.

I think this is a nice little Cannon camera for under $100.00. It's a Canon PowerShot A480 with 3.3x optical zoom and 10.0 mega pixels and a nice size monitor.
