You may get immediate SSI (Supplemental Security Income)
SSI considers certain medical conditions so limiting that they expect any one of them to disable a child. In these cases, they make SSI payments right away and for up to six months while the state agency decides if your child is disabled.
Following are some of those conditions:
- HIV infection
- Total blindness
- Total deafness
- Cerebral palsy
- Down syndrome
- Muscular dystrophy
- Severe mental retardation (child age 7 or older)
- Birth weight below two pounds, 10 ounces
So if your child has any of these and they are eligible( Usually means you are not rich)
Especially the low birth weight is new to me. The gestation period is important too. That is how early your child was born.
SO if your eligible or your child is APPLY NOW! Do not wait on this as you are missing out on money due you.
For more information see the www.SSA.gov website.

I wonder why about the birth rate exactly? If born that early, what disbalities do they have other than expensive medical bills from being in the infant ICU?
