I saw an ad for this contest on facebook. I am not sure if I will participate or not, but I thought I would share this with all of the fiction writers on Gather. If you plan on participating pleaase comment below and perhaps those participating can work together on Gather to prepare your entries. FALL 2009 Very-Short Fiction Contests
1,000 words or less, on any subject. Awards: Winner, $100 and permanent printing on the Leapfrog Press Web site. Finalists, $50 and printing on the Web site. Honorable Mention, listing on the Web site; links to entries (on Web sites or as PDF) given as well. Contest fee: $8.00 per story.
To enter, send your story/stories as email attachments in Word, text, or PDF format to fictioncontest@leapfrogpress.com.
Use the contest name ("Humorous Fiction" or "Dark Fiction") as the subject line of your message. In the body of the email, please give your name, address, and email address, and the title of your story.
You may enter both contests at the same time; if you do so, please save each story in a separate file, and indicate in the file name which contest it is for. Please do not name your files "story.doc" or "leapfrog contest.doc" -- they will be indistinguishable from all the other entries so named. You may submit multiple stories, but no more than three in total for both contests.
Payment: Use the PayPal button. If the PayPal account is not in your name, indicate that in your submission email, so we can match your payment to your entry.
