I want to thank all my Gather friends for their prayers and positive thoughts about my mom. Recently we discovered she had a hernia and ovarian cysts.
My mother went through multiple tests and will have surgery to remove her left ovary on September 15. I am worried about her because she has problems with excessive bleeding during operative procedures.
The doctor who delivered my daughter will perform the laproscopic surgery. My mother knows him as she was present in the delivery room when I had my second c-section. He "fixed" me after my first botched c-section with my son. I feel confident about his abilities but still feel anxious for my mom.
She may require additional surgery as this is an "exploratory" procedure besides removing her ovary. They will check the cyst on the other ovary and the hernia while they are inside.
After this, my mom still has to undergo physical therapy for the arthritis in her back and a nutritional plan to combat pre-diabetes.
Your continued prayers and positive thoughts are greatly appreciated.
