I must say, Nick and I had a gay old time yesterday at the 2009 Provincetown's 2009 Gay Paris Carnival Parade. The theme this year was "Summer of Love: Peace, Love & Go-Go Boots". Commercial Street was full of hot, hot energy as the Parade shimmied through throngs of people. Everybody was dressed up, dressed down, wearing tutus or chain mail or maybe nothing at all. Go-go boots were especially in as men pranced down the street singing

Wild time...truly a flashback....you should have seen Nick and I singin' and dancin' in the streets.
What fun! I would so love to attend something like this, but in our neck of the woods, the Republicans would turn themselves inside out in angst.
However, that would be a lot of fun to watch, too.

I don't understand why this would need to be flagged for adult content. There's no nudity, or sexual content, or even kissing. Wow, some people just need to get over themselves - all I see here is some folks have a good time.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, there are people in America who think the Constitution was only written for them, and sadly, they are the ones most likely to infringe on other peoples rights. Well, we knew they were here. Didn't stop the parade though, now did they?
gay pride parades are featured on the six o'clock news which is rated g for general viewing, so the voice of reason demands the community flag be lifted urgently. homosexuality is an adults only issue in the same way that a gardening show is an adults only issue: children only care if there's free toffee apples.
