Lately, my mind is elsewhere,
in other lands, life's serene,
it's OK, I'm going nowhere,
where life is but a dream.
Floating in calmest seas,
back to earth with a splat,
something just hit the floor,
look 'round for the nearest cat.
There she is, smilin' at me,
her eyes, a sparkle and blink,
she sits there, so content,
what else would you think?
I glare, looking right at her,
trying to see what plopped,
my face turns red as a beet,
it's the egg that I just dropped!

Your photo of the cat gives this a very special quality, and how clever of you to put the repeat word in the title… I missed it until I read your comment to Lynn. The onomatopoeia , I’m thinking, is “plopped” (?) Terrific use of the prompt.
