I watched me sleep
(To Dawn)
The last time I watched me while asleep
my mouth was kept ajar, a drop
of sea was following my left cheek.
The last time I watched me while asleep
I did not wake me up; slipped out
in the garden; serpents watched me.
I wake up startled; in my ankle
twine marks question me, “Have you ever
been awake? Ever in this life?”

Theorem on collective unconscious
(To Ann)
Our collective unconscious
undulates on the lap of the earth
along with a small girl sleeping
on the summer grass. I can see her
smiling the way you used to when
slumber shuts your notebook full of
calculations.
I wonder if
sleep cures our ailments or
our collective unconscious
wakes up only in our sleeps,
with summer grass casing us in it
and butterflies caring less
about mere hypothesis.

Blessings and best wishes - S.
it wasn't the 'camping' that wore you out.
Asleep? Unconscious?
At the very moment I was etching your existence? There are bonds in the universe!
rendering of a prince
:+)
I saw me asleep
Though our Ann is away, I know this will touch her portion of the collective and we see Dawn's thoughts generating as well.
Both poems are thought provoking on this morning of mutual appreciation at The Surreal Circus
'Cause of you,
princess wears a grin
and not a frown.
Now my crown
glows
and my heart shows
as I grow
to be the woman
I've longed to be.
Now you "see"
me.
That's why I love you.
Prince of India...not Arabia =)

You might find this excerpt from "Talking with Leaders of the Past", interesting. It was compiled by Peter Watson Jenkins and channeled by Toni Ann Winninger, published by Celestial Voices, 2008.
Interviewer: You said, "The collective unconscious doesn't owe its existence to individual experience, and is not a person acquisition. The collective unconscious has never been in consciousness but comes to us through heredity." How much do you hold to your ideas of the collective unconscious now? Is this a collective unconscious of the race or is it a database held at Home?
Jung: It is the energy of all of us have created. It is the wisdom from all of the knowledge gained by all of the various facets of the energy of creation. It comes from experiences wherever and to whomever they occurred. It is accessible to each soul if they have the maturity to know how. at least while they are in their human form. At home all have the ability to "tap in."

Sometimes my muse deserts me, or when I utilise it I get unfairly slammed by some factions. I will let the sunshine in a bit more!

You've certainly nailed my love for all things natural and all things academic, and somehow merged them. May I have your permission to use the first line from this poem as "status"? (With attribution, of course).
