Nice Catch at Huntington Beach State Park

While watching all the creatures hunt for their breakfast during my last trip to Huntington Beach State Park I not only saw an alligator feasting on a crab I also captured this fellow with a mighty fine fish!

I was not only thrilled to see this but so glad the photos turned out so well.

Nana you just keep getting the most amazing shots. I love how in the second shot the blurring of the flowers really brings a sharper view of this guy and his lunch! Both photos are OUTSTANDING!!!!!!

I think you will will agree Rose, every once in a while that "miracle" photo comes along, you snap a few hoping to get just one perfect shot. Then you upload your photos and sit in amazement at your accomplishment. I have seen many from you and a few others here on Gather and feel that same amazement. Thanks for the comment DF.

wow! Great capture. That is not easy to do! My husband finally got a series similar where you can see the lump in the throat as the food went down (it's in one of my nature photos) but the fish (or was it a frog?) was so small it was hard to see!

That's why I have two photos, the first image was one of those "shoot it quick while it's there" images and then, since he wasn't going anywhere I zoomed in and shot some more. It is so neat to see the food go down their necks too. I should have shot some video but I'm still learning how to use my camera for video.
