Hi, Norma. I hope the week improves for you. It's pretty hot here again now. It was up to 92 this afternoon and supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow.

The kids and I went to the free summer movie this morning. They'd seen it before but enjoy going to the theater and having some popcorn. Liam took a nap this afternoon. He hasn't been sleeping well the last week. Not sure what we will do tomorrow.

Hi Norma, Sorry to hear it's a lousy week so far. Let's hope tomorrow changes all of that. We had the most fantastic lightening storm tonight, of course rain and thunder did go with it. But the lightening rippled sideways across the sky and went on forever. It was quite a show. All quiet now though.

Well hi there dear girlie! I know what you mean. Chloe and I went to the doctor yesterday and she has a cold with her bronchitis and I have a cold and acute sinusitis. They put me on an antibiotic and you know for some reason I woke up this morning feeling much better...maybe I really needed it that badly! I was feeling really rotten for a week or two in my sinuses (a lot of dizziness and PAIN).

Good morning, Norma. Hope the tide has turned this morning for you, and all goes as it should the rest of the week. It sure is time for a cup of coffee. I've got a busy day ahead of me. Am making a batch of tuna salad and a batch of chicken salad for out 2 day adventure. Have to pull out my bathing suit. Hope it fits. Moses has a list of chores for me to do that he deserves to be shot over. But that's life. Last minute details. We had rain overnight. Did you get any?And the grass I cut yesterday has grown 2 inches already. I'll be back around lunchtime. See you later.

Getting some rain the last few days finally. Thank God I dont live farther North. A tornado went through Beaumont , and took the roof a walmart and a Kohl's. Turned cars and trucks upside down. About 20 autos thrown out of parking lot all over the place

I was in a rotten mood yesterday. Not sure why. I guess I am just getting discouraged. I need to snap out of this funk. It doesn't make things better to dwell on the bad stuff.

Hi Norma. We're back. Had a wonderful time. So how are you today? Did any of the storms after the tornado come your way? We had rain and wind, but I don't know how much. Don't see any damage. A cup of coffee is just perfect for the moment. Think I'll sit here and watch people come and go for a little bit. I'm putting individual servings of watermelon in the cooler for anyone who wants it. Gotta love watermelon. Best hydration food I know about, without a doubt.

I really want some watermelon bad. Havent had any in years . They were 5 for a dollar, now over $8 at the market. I will not pay that price , not even knowing if it is a good one or not. Occasionally some of the ones we plant do survive and we get to enjoy our own home grown ones. Usually very small about the size of a socer ball. Have you ever had watermelon preserves? Thay are great. Just cut off the inside rine, dispose of the outermost rine, They preserve the white juicy inside just like you would a pear etc; delish.

I'll have some of the watermelon. That would really hit the spot right now.

Good morning, Norma. Has your week gotten any better? How are you doing?

I'm about to go outside and cut the grass. It is beautiful outside and last I looked, 69 degrees. While it stays cool is a good time to be outside. Maybe no sweating today.

We had a good time on our little vacation, but I'm still worn out from it. Moses had to go into the office this morning to finish up some work from yesterday. And our cable is acting up. No t.v. downstairs, so I don't know if that means the computer or phone will go next or not. I think it's about time to find other services. Comcast is breaking down every week now, either on one service or all three, and they sure don't credit the days we are without.

We've been getting a lot of rain lately so the grass is quite long. I'm hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow and it is cool enough for Russ to mow while I play on the computer. LOL

LOL. I bet you do, Marge. You don't get all the computer time you used to get, do you? A lot of it is now work for Russ? Yes, that rain just undoes a yard cut. We've gotten all the yard cut now and am just hoping it stays low for a few days.

Break time. We got our work done. Moses is out weed-eating. A cup of coffee sounds good now. Where are you, Norma? What's going on with you today?

Doesn't look like too many people can come play right now. I should be writing but I haven't decided how I am going to tackle the next chapter yet.

Moses is hooting it up with the folks across the street. There's a whole group of them that get together just about every night now and laugh til midnight. I can hear them all the way over here laughing. But that's better than listening to a football game with the volume sky high.

Good morning, Norma. It is time for a good, strong cup of coffee. How are you doing this morning? 66 degrees here when I went out. Nice day to pull weeds and do yard work.

Gather's already acting up for me. If you don't see me today off and on it is because of the internet. Yesterday we had phone,t.v. and internet problems off and on. It was supposed to be fixed, but if this morning is any indicator, it isn't.

I will tell Marge, she loves her watermelon as much as I do, I know I need to put up a new cafe. But there has not been a lot of business. Everyone of the Moms are out shoppig and us old ladies are tired and wanting to sleep late.

Good morning Everyone. I am leaving another watermelon in the frig. Already cubed and sealed in individual servings. If one isn't enough, take some more. We have plenty of watermelon.

Marge, when my husband was in college, I typed his papers for him and typed a lot of computer papers that were nothing but characters and letters to me. It was very agonizing work. Hope you are able to finish up Russ's work quickly, and can get on to other more interesting typing.

How's your weather, Norma? We are having a very cool start to the day. No need for air
conditioning whatsoever. Of course, that will probably change as the day wears on, but still, it is such a wonderful experience to be able to go outside in the early morning and be perfectly comfortable.

I have noticed the birds are very, very quiet. And we must have had a really strange animal in the yard this morning, because the dogs went absolutely berserk and were looking in the trees on the west side. The cat was standing watch also. I never could see what it was. But their racket makes me think raccoon. It must have gone all over in the back and driveway. The dogs were busily following the trail all over. Wish I could have seen what it was.
