PETA Picks On Fat Chicks

PETA has gotten so rude.

I'm a liberal animal rights vegetarian type who is embarrassed by them - totally.

Makes me want to slip into a my knee-high leather stiletto boots, crack a rawhide whip and eat a big, juicy steak in their face.

I was just considering the idiocy of their I would rather go naked than wear fur ads last night.

I am not a big meat eater, and I am all for protecting animals from cruel people...but PETA takes it way too far. You can't push a lifestyle choice on people, and it seems like PETA would.

Peta is horrible. I understand where they are coming from, in not wanting animals hurt. However, they take it to an extreme that shows they think humans are dumb, and not worth their time. They feel animals are far more important than humans. They go to violent extremes. They are what I would call an extremist group.

That's absolutely awful. I'd be pissed if I saw an ad like that.

That is horrible! It is sick that they will take their extremist beliefs this far. Wonder what the stars that support the cause would think if they were confronted with this? They are guilty by association of discrimination of their own sex.

LOL! Ur funny! I don't believe in animal cruelty, but as with everything else there is a line and they habitually cross it.

It gets attention, that's for sure. I chose not to be offended by them showing someones blubbery behind. The behind is real - the ad is exaggerated to make a point.

I'd prefer to see a fine bod anytime and no one is offended by that - although shouldn't that remind us of how fat some of us are?:)

I don't take it personal - my tush is my business. Too skinny is unhealthy and too fat is unhealthy and while the ad is rude like Peter said, it's the big fat truth and someone should occasionally forget about being politically correct and show it like it is.

I doubt that I could ever become a true vegetarian, but the older I get the less meat I crave. I think that is natural.

Insult to fatties? Not at all - it shows the naked truth, take it as a wake up call to become healthy.
Some of us will never be fashionably thin, so what, I doubt that is healthy for most of us anyway! What counts is that we eat healthy and walk as much as possible.
It is important to do whatever we can for our body and our health - and no ad - whether a fine rear end or a fat a** is going to change that reality for us.

I am more inclined to be insulted by the thin models and any picture where you can count someones ribs - that - in my opinion is a lot more dangerous, because it is shown as an ideal body to be achieved by young women - that is where the real danger lies.

Peta is rude & hard to relate to most of the time. I have not seen the ad, but it doesn't sound like one I would care to see.

For most causes, some people take an extreme stand to gain attention. They must be really frustrated with having to be so extreme for so long to get people's attention.

I'm obese, so my fat behind might be just like the one on the billboard. However (in addition to never being caught in a bikini) I also don't eat much meat. I may go eat a juicy hamburger in PETA's honor.

I am all about protecting animals from cruelty, but Peta has taking it too far!. I might just get a burger too, Elizabeth.

I temporarily got out of the raising beef biz because the feed is HIGH and the market is LOW. I make more money raising alfalfa.
I have seen too much cruelty to all sorts of animals.

What I have seen.
A dairy worker took a pipe and broke a cows nose.
A VET trying to get a sick cow to move, stuck the cattle prod up the anus of said cow. Ouch! Poor cow could barely walk.
Cows watch other cows getting slaughtered and KNOW they are next. They try to run from the cow killer.
Saw a dairy worker take out a pocket knife and cut the non milk producing teat of a cow.
The saddest part is when calves are separated from their momma. So many DIE from the shock. Many have to be force fed and their constant crying for their momma usally ends when they DIE. I'd say up to half die.

When I took a pig to market, the USDA guy soaked the needle lined USDA stamp in ink and POW!!! Instant tatto. Right on the pigs rump, he sure made it squeal like a pig.

Enjoy beef, an animal probably suffered so you could enjoy that burger.

I wonder why workers in this field become so cruel? It doesn't make any sense. Is it the norm in the industry, and why don't others working point out the problems and do something about it?

I'm considered a right wing nut on Gather, but I do support PETA... I don't really like their politics or their methods, but I like the end results. They make people aware of things they would otherwise not think of.... so I support them.

I think that all the writers here should reread Rude D's comment. All of us should think and perhaps pray before we eat that meat that was taken from others while they suffered greatly. Can you really believe in a God or Goddess or both or many who doesn't love those suffering cows far more then we can imagine. For instance, if those calves can miss their mother's so much; imagine how much those cows miss their calves!

Yes, PETA is radical. Mostly because we are blind to the suffering of most of the other nonhuman part of nature. PETA to this date has ended much suffering on this Earth and still has an enormous job to do. And keep this in mind: heaven would be a very dull place without the souls of other species.

As for our hunted whiles, I find it most amazing that most people don't consider the size of the brain of a while...Size alone equates to the possibility that they are highly intelligent, so intelligent that they might have a sophisticated language of their own, and just, if not more so, as sophisticated as any human language.
