I'm Still Alive

You read correctly.  I am still alive.  Worry no more, for I am here once again.  Well, mostly here, anyway.

Life has been happening lately.  Nothing serious or huge, but it is all life in the end.  Had my mom's surprise 50th birthday party.  Of course it was on the hottest day so far this summer.  90 plus degrees and at least 70% humidity.  You sweated standing still in the shade.  Ugh.  It was still a lot of fun, though.

My mother not long after she got home.  She is wearing the hat that she gave me for my 21st birthday.  When I told her she had to wear it she said that she knew buying it for me would come back to get her! :)  She is awesome.  She does not look even close to 50 to me.

Not too much else going on lately.  We have some projects that we have planned out that we need to work on.  One is working on finishing the basement so we can get things rearranged all over the house.  Another changing some stuff in the bedroom so we can get the furniture to fit a little better.  Oh, and I need to get out and weed the flowers that are growing in the back of the house and repot my peace lily.

My Peace Lily and African Violet.  They both seem to be doing quite well in their homes, although the lily needs to be repotted again.
