I voted for Mike H. One of my good friends actually got on the campaign for him and she gave me a lot of information on his views and everything and he sounded great.
At first I was thinking Huckabee would be a great choice too. Better than McCain for sure. However since I looked into Ron Paul I have to side with him.
I'll have to look into him and see what he's all about. I didn't vote this year, because I didn't like mccain or obama, so I hope the candidates will be much better in 2012.
No I had not seen it before, thanks for the link. Ron Paul is my number 1 pick for president, second pick would be his son Rand Paul. Rand is running for Kentucky Senate now, I hope he wins!
Better enough? Personally, I think we ought to have a Republican Congress, a Democrat President, and a Libertarian Supreme Court. Such a division would create the perfect balance of ideas and programs while protecting the American People from Government Expansion into their private lives and liberties.
The important thing is to have separation of powers. Unfortunately they are trying to loosen the shackles of the Constitution in this area too.
I don't care as much about which party is in power as much as if they are upholding the Constitution. If they are not doing that then their ideas are not welcome. They were sworn in to uphold it.
1. Sarah Palin - She might not be that much better than President Bush, but I doubt she would make things worse. This would also anger the elitists in the Republican and Democrat Parties, the Media, and Wall Street. You can't put a price on that.
2. Tim Pawlenty - He seems like a trustworthy politician and I believe he has done a fantastic job as Governor.
3. Mark Sanford - Yes, he cheated on his wife. Yes, he used taxpayer money. However, his politics and record as governor are spot on.
4. Ron Paul - It's so unlikely that I almost don't want to mention him, but he is the best mind in the Republican Party.
5. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen - She's a vociferous Republican, but she tends to make a lot of sense.
6. Cathy McMorris Rodgers - She's a rising star in the House of Representatives and has a good Congressional Record.
7. Newt Gingrich - Experienced and Qualified.
8. Dr. Paul Broun, Jr.
9. Mike Pence - Experienced, Successful in the House of Representatives, with an excellent record.
I think one of the problems with America is that we have been settling for the lesser of the two evils for far too long. A return to common sense in Washing requires good candidates, not just better candidates. That's why I'm all for Ron Paul, or anyone else that is similar. I think his son, Rand Paul , would make a good President too.

I agree. I admit, after my party nominated Republicans Bob Barr and Wayne Root, I voted for John McCain. I mean, I'm throwing away my vote for a Republican either way right? The LP isn't taking themselves seriously and neither is the American Public. The Democrat Party is being controlled by the far left. I'm not sure where to turn.
Financially we can't afford anyone, Mathew, but if President Obama runs, at present, I hope he wins. If Ron Paul runs, I'd vote for him in the Republican primaries. If he wins those primaries, I'd probably vote for him. He's willing to work with the far left in bring about those Libertarian foreign policies. That would be an extrememly HUGE reduction in the deficit.
Wow Dorothy... this is an old post... thanks for directing m back to it... it's interesting to re-read my old comments again. I'll be doing my best to get Paul nominated... we've got to do something about bring the troops home and stop policing the world.
