Are you missing me yet? I had a really nice time in Kentucky, learned a lot of new things about ancestors, reconnected with great folk in family.
Am now in the State of Washington, a surprise vacation from family there, who bought a ticket for me. The weather is perfect, the land has many fresh berries to pick and indulge in,good folk to visit with, good cooks to share
dinners with. In Kentucky, I was fed so well that A dress which fit upon arrival practically had to be cut off me the last time I wore it,lol....they cook really well there!
As I am borrowing this computer in the middle of the night, I won't be posting the awesome photos from it. I do want to say how MUCH I miss you all, and how glad I will be to get home sometime next week so we can share the pics and some stories. Came in right by Mt. Hood in Portland, which was an AWESOME sight, then drove over here to McCleary, Washington. Have a lot of relatives up in Alaska, but sure hope no one wants to surprise me further, ha...I'm Tired!
The only downside to this extended trip is not being able to keep up with all my gather friends and of course when one is over two thousand miles from home, always there is one piece of bad news......Mine was that my dear buddy, my daily laughter, my friend, Sly, has passed away. He was the BEST pet ever
and came to me when I NEEDED somting to cheer me up. Two years was NOT long enough to share with him, alas, but at least I know he had a special two years with me. Hawk told me that Sly was only appearing letharic for two days and just went to sleep and didn't wake up. My heart is broken over losing my friend. I am glad he did not suffer as so many ferrets do at the end. I only found out recently that he was 8 years old, rather than the 5 I thought he was. DARN!!!!! I wish the lil guy could have held on until I returned! This hurts my heart and dampens the trip. Home will NOT be the same without him, the little dear........
*Rest, lil guy, rest. You earned it with the laughter and joy you caused in my household. I shall miss you*
A special hello to Paidra. I hope you aren't causing havoc while I am gone, cyberchild...I miss YOU too!

I miss seeing your face around and reading your enlightening stuff.
Take care of yourself and get in touch when you get back home. Safe and Sound.
I miss you lots too. Keep resting and having fun.
I will keep Sly in my prayers and thoughts he was a cute little feller and I will him..
Too bad you are across the state from me. You could drop in for a visit. Don't worry I won't stuff you with food as I hate to cook! In fact, if YOU like to cook, you could cook something FOR ME!! LOL
Oh yeah, I forgot about my diet.
glad your trip is going well otherwise though
I am sorry you lost your friend Sly.
But the Vacation seens to have been wonderful.
I too, am loving this State. The fruits and veggies still in season, great weather...Majestic views...WOW!
So very sorry to hear about Sly. Hold on to all of the happy memories and the fact that you gave him a good life.
Glad we are both back.
So sorry for your loss/Sly, I know how empty the place must feel and also how much it hurts.
But, it does sound like you had a wonderful time and since I have hardly any family left, may I borrow some of yours? :)
Hugs,
Marilyn
