Our family traveled to Bar Harbor, Maine just over a week ago, for my baby brother's wedding. I call him my "baby" brother, because he is exactly two months to the day younger than my middle child.
Josh and Erika met when he was 14 and she was 12, and their friendship grew for years. I have never known a young couple so devoted to each other....and now at the ages of 22 and 24, so completely in tune with each other's likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses. The wedding was like something right out of a fairy tale. I also thoroughly enjoyed catching up with many family members I rarely get to see.

My brother Josh and his beautiful bride Erika.

Getting ready to cut the wedding cake.

The first dance as husband and wife.

This was the view from the terrace that remained open to guests throughout the reception. Bar Harbor is named as such for an enormous sand bar that cars and trucks drive out onto during low tide. The tide is in at this point, but the scenery allowed for a positively gorgeous sunset.

These spectacular bouquets graced every table in the massive reception hall. You can barely see my younger son and daughter peeking through from the other side of the table!

I've never seen my dad as happy and healthy looking as he was this entire weekend. Josh was a later-in-life surprise, who turned out to be the greatest blessing in my father's life. That doesn't mean I'm not still Daddy's little girl...even at 55!

A cousin was gracious enough to take a family shot for us....with as many of our kids/grandkids who were able to be there with us.

You look wonderful, as do all your family members.
Lovely location too.
Hoe does it feel to have a brother the same age as one of your kids?
My husband is 16 years younger than his sister, but her kids are not close in age to him.

Thanks!
