I really liked the Twilight series. They're not great literature, but heck, Stephenie Meyer can weave a pretty good story so I forgave the nagging little things about the writing that bothered me.
I did NOT like the Twilight movie one bit. To be completely terse about it, I thought it sucked. The acting was weak, Kristen Stewart blinked way too often, Robert Pattinson's American accent was funky and uneven at best, and things just happened way too quickly. I didn't find Bella and Edward's relationship even remotely believable. So yeah, disappointing.
For some reason, I decided I'd take an AC call for content about casting for Eclipse, which is set to come out in the middle of next year.Â
I'm insane. I've been surfing around for information, and have found a few nuggets, but for the most part, many of the parts are still yet to be cast. So how can I write an article about this? Don't the parts need to be cast before I can identify the actors and write about them? Ugh, silly me for not doing my homework before. And silly AC for requesting this article right now, before most of the roles have been cast.Â
ETA - I managed. :) The new cast members, thus far...

Ignore the snobs.
Novels are all about enjoyment and escapism ... right ???
I have a degree in Lit, so I'm a little embarrassed that I devoured them like I did. But heck, I also love Kinsella's Shopaholic series, so clearly 'simple' and 'fluffy' are keywords when it comes to my reading choices these days. ;)
I think people who have their degrees in Lit end up being burned out on it - and they end up just wanting to read for fun.
I think Kristen Stewart constantly looks like she's like she's too drugged up to know what's really going on.
