Just had to share a couple cool things that Cloud & I did this last Thursday.
In case this is your first "Cloud" posting, she is the nearly 14 month old yellow Lab pup I am raising for Summit Assistance Dogs in Anacortes, WA.
Thursday morning I attended a First-Aid, CPR & AED refresher class which was over 4 hours long.
I took Cloud with me and the classroom was deep inside one of the production plants in Renton, WA.
Cloud was un-phased by the HUGE space inside and all the weird equipment and people all around did not interest her much either. [a very good thing!] Except for the forklift driver who stopped his drive as he was passing us to ask about & admire Cloud.
My First-Aid classmates and instructors commented about how good she was. She was a little confused by this bunch of humans getting down on the floor to “play” while she was tethered nearby. She even picked up my ‘accidentally’ dropped plastic gloves. She looked at it & then me, so I nonchalantly said ‘get it’ and after a second of checking out the glove, she picked it up and gave it to me when I put my hand out. (WAY COOL and totally unexpected, since it was a totallynew texture for her. Unfortunately they would not issue her a First-Aid card. ;-)
