As a journal writer myself, I understand the importance of keeping a journal. I was thrilled with "The Daily Doodle". It is a journal for kids ages 4-7. It is wonderfully designed and written so kids can have their say about their day. Each page has a place at the top to write the date followed by a question to answer. I am sure this will be the beginning of a long journal writing life for children.
The questions include but not limited to the following:
My favorite thing I like to do with my family is...
The activity I enjoy the most is.....
I am really good at......
I need help with......
This journal gives the child an outlet to put both positive and negative things concerning their lives on paper. It helps them to be creative in a way that is necessary to get to know both themselves and the world around them.

Do you feel better today?
If it aint one thing, it's another.
I was really impressed with the journal. It was wonderful.
I want to thank Connie for the wonderful review of "The Daily Doodle"!
I also appreciate everyone's feedback and support!
From all of your responses I can tell that you are all actively involved with
your own children, nieces/nephews/etc. This type of involvement is
what books like "The Daily Doodle" strives for...active involvement=
open lines of communication.
For those of you who are considering getting the "The Daily Doodle",
it is a book that can be easily modified upwards or downwards from the
4-7 range. If anyone has any questions on how to work with
your child to journal, feel free to contact me on Gather.
This Gather site is wonderful-it has been such a pleasure "meeting"
everyone.
Have a great weekend!!!

Most of the books sold telling you how to raise your chilren especially by so called professionals , have never been married or had children. This is refreshing.
