Gather Is on Facebook – Become a Fan!

That’s right, Gather’s on Facebook now! And we’re hoping if you are a Facebook member you’ll soon become a fan of the Gather Facebook page. Think of it as just another way to stay on top of everything Gather you love!

Want to follow Gather on Facebook? Here’s how you can do it!

  • Click here to see our page.>>
  • Choose “Become a Fan” on the Gather page
  • If you want, invite your friends and family to follow Gather on Facebook by using the “Suggest to Friends” button under the Gather icon

That’s pretty much it in a nutshell. Hope to see you all following us on Facebook and enjoying your Gather time twice as much!

I clicked on the link and got something called Everyday Joe. And, then when I wrote out my comment and hit submit, I got directed to the main Gather page.

I'm in a Joan Crawford fan club, and a Michele Crider fan club at Facebook. Gather gets a fan club? Why not just go be on Gather. I'm lost on why I would do a thing like that on Facebook. I'll go see if it's self explanatory.

I'm not on Facebook.. .one reason, our son and his friends are, so it didn't seem fair. I know his friends, like his friends, see his friends, you know? He's not on here, but they're also on myspace, I'm letting him have his time w/his friends and well.........I actually only want to know what he's up to as far as he's willing to tell me! :) So, that's why this is my only site that I have an account. I "did" look at Twitter, but it confused me, can't figure out how to Tweet!

Darlene, Kat — You should be able to click the site buttons/logo on the banner above to see the page for that site devoted to Gather. Then follow (Twitter) or become a fan (Facebook).

In fact, when I click on the Facebook banner, I get directed to my own Facebook page.

I found it by going to facebook and doing a Gather word search. I joined. I saw there were Gather articles there. Do we put ours there by clicking the facebook button when we publish here ???

Hi Peter!

No, when you bookmark an article on Gather using the FB link below the article that'll just post the link to your own personal feed on FB. However, you can write on the Gather wall on FB if you'd like to. The content that is shown there are articles we've chosen to highlight each day.

Stefanie, how does Gather decide which articles to post on Facebook? Do you get the poster's permission before you post to Facebook, or do we just have to be aware that our posts might be chosen for Facebook?

I am not a fan of facebook anymore. I loved facebook back when it was. . . original. You had to have a college email address to register and it served as a great way to meet people on your campus. Now it's just another rip off of myspace.

No thank you, I'm not a fan of this at all :-/ Gather should focus on Gather in my opinion. . . for what it's worth.

I just joined Facebook with my real name so I can keep up with family members and their pictures. Since I do not use my real name here, does that mean I should not link to Gather thru Facebook since I prefer to keep my Id and info private here on Gather?
