Yesterday my Mom, sister and I went to a wonderful Farmer's Market and flea market about an hour from home. I used to go there frequently, before Stacey's accident, but had not been there in five years. It was exactly as I remembered!
This is a pig that was outside the one pork BBQ stand!
Some flavored angel food cakes!.....Peach, Black Raspberry, Strawberry and Lemon!
Some beautifully arranged beans!
Some delicious looking goodies! I'll have one of each! LOL
A huge pile of radishes!
Some tie-dyed Whoopie Pies! I thought they were pretty cool looking!
These are Ground Cherries! I have never seen them before....the lady selling them explained that they grow on bushes, fall onto the ground when ripe and they pick them up! There is a beautiful golden colored cherry inside that papery covering! They can be used like other cherries to make pies, jams, etc.
Some good for you things I bought! 5 beautiful red tomatoes for $1 and 4 purple bell peppers for $1! Pretty good deal!
Some not so good for you things I bought! Red cherry dollars, flavored licorices, dried pineapple and dried cantaloupe!

Those beans are gorgeous and the radishes look phenomenal ... and the favors for the angel food cakes are amazing ... and those cookies look awesome! I wouldn't know what to buy ... I'd want everything!

I've seen things that looked like those ground cheeries but I never knew what they were.
I've heard of that farmers' market, but I've never had the chance to visit it.
This market looks like the kind I would love to have around here.
