Learning by Doing

I'm taking a much more concerted stab at producing more work for the Maggie and Della mysteries. I've created a podcast for the stories and actually finished my first one, Midnight Stalker. I also published the text version. And, I also set up a Facebook page for the series. It's a lot of work, but I'm really enjoying it.

I'm a learn-by-doing kind of person, and I always consider myself to be on the learning curve rather than past it. The podcast is coming along, although I'm still figuring out stuff like microphones and proper use of the audio editing software, Audacity. I've learned a lot, though, just by doing it.

The Facebook page is fun, too. I get to experiment with voices of the characters, and incorporate the work I've already done with text, audio and video.

I've also just joined a writers' group in the town where I live (Arlington, MA). It's for serious writers, who want to get published. That's me!
