First there was that lady who paid for the person behind her and started a "Paying it forward" chain. I thought nice but noby really got anything free since they all paid for the next person. Some paid extra and they ended up with over $1000 in cash. Nobody wanted to stop this chain so in the end who really got any free coffee?
Now, there is a coffee shop that has really put the idea of "pay it forward"to work. There coffee is free. All the time. Since making a profit on sandwiches they made the coffee free. The catch? "Pay it forward" Not leave money for the next customer but to do something for somebody in the their life. One man did such a thing. He found out his neighbor needed a washer and dryer and gave him a set. Now, that's true paying it forward.
I would think if just a small percentage of this shops customers did things like that, a lot of people would benifit and a true chain of pay it forward could form.

Like you go to a buffet for lunch or dinner, they advertize one price then they add the pop which is over $2, there goes any saving you made over other restaurants.
